Bob Bio
Houston, Texas has been the
home of many greats. Nolan Ryan, Earl Campbell, Hakeem
Olajuwon, Patrick Swayze, Beyonce and the guy that played
Data on Star Trek The Next Generation among them. Add Bob
Biggerstaff to that list. Bob came to Houston from
Liverpool, NY while still in high school and attended the
University of Houston. While still in college he became a
doorman at the legendary Laff Stop. After a few months
“manning the door” he started to perform at the Laff Stop
open mic night and developed his self-deprecating, sports
related style. Bob quickly became one of Houston’s top
comics winning the Funniest Person in Houston Contest in
2003. He has been successful in many comedy competitions
becoming a national finalist in Sierra Mist’s "Search For
the Next Great Comic", HBO’s "The Lucky 21", and Comedy
Centrals "Open Mic Fight". In 2007 Bob made his national
television debut on NBC’s hit show Last Comic Standing and
was seen on Dave Attell’s HBO special “Captain Miserable”.
2008 looks to be even better as appearances on Comedy
Central's "Live at Gotham" (July 18) and the nationally
syndicated Bob and Tom Radio Show are in the offing. From
comedy clubs, colleges, and theaters in the U.S. to our
military bases overseas, Bob has entertained people all
over the world. Be sure and catch him at a club near you
before he takes all his money and buys an island off the
coast of Fiji and lives out his days as a 300-pound weirdo
ala Marlon Brando.
